When talking about the Forbidden Door and WWE’s potential working relationship with Impact Wrestling, no name has been brought up more than Matt Cardona. The former Zack Ryder has lit the wrestling world on fire, competing for both Impact Wrestling and GCW, becoming the self-proclaimed “Death Match King.”

It has been a major change for the former fist-pumping Long Island Iced Z, who has gone on to say that WWE was his developmental for the Indies and not the other way around. Everyone's favorite broski has even said that he is open to a full-time return to WWE, as long as he is able to continue to do his podcast with former tag partner and best friend Brian Meyers.

In terms of a familiar face that will satisfy both the casual and hardcore wrestling fan, the newly married Cardona is the perfect fit. While his current style might not be fitting for a full-time return to WWE, entering the Royal Rumble match would surely be a logical step for Matt Cardona.
