WWE Royal Rumble: Best Performances From Every Entry Slot
15. Roman Reigns - 2014
The year before eliminating Rusev to claim victory in 2015, Roman Reigns entered at No. 15, outlasting almost everyone. The only man who could stop Reigns from claiming victory was Batista.
With no winners coming from this position, this is the best performance from any No. 15 entrant ever. Not only did Reigns achieve this, he also broke the all time record for eliminations in a single Royal Rumble.
Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Nash, The Great Khali (with the help of his Shield partners), Goldust, El Torito, JBL, Luke Harper, Cesaro, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose were all eliminated by Reigns to tie Kane's 2001 record of 11, before knocking Sheamus off the apron to beat it.
This left just Reigns and the 2005 winner, Batista. The two men squared off, Reigns with the momentum from eliminating Sheamus, against a Batista that was past his prime. It looked set to be Reigns' year, until The Animal reversed Roman's momentum, sending him over the top rope, ending his dream of headlining WrestleMania for another year.
