WWE Sign Ace Steel & Lance Storm For Backstage Roles
The Chicago wrestler is on his way to Orlando, Florida.
Former independent wrestler Ace Steel is on his way to Orlando, Florida to take up a coaching role at the WWE Performance Center.
This is according to PWInsider, who report that Steel was actually hired by the promotion last month, and is already being slotted into his new position.
As a wrestler, the 46-year-old is perhaps best known for his work in the likes of ROH and IWA-MS in the mid-2000s, though he has worked only a few dozen bouts since stepping away to focus more in training in 2008. On top of this, Steel was under WWE developmental for roughly one year until February 2008, and Colt Cabana and CM Punk were both coached by him as they broke into the wrestling business.
Lance Storm was also brought back in the WWE fold over the weekend. As confirmed by the Canadian himself on Twitter, he'll be taking up a position as a producer when his Storm Wrestling Academy closes down, and claims he's "really looking forward to working with such a high level of talent again."
Storm had a trial run as an Impact Wrestling producer earlier in 2019 and will close the SWA later this year.
