4. The Announcers Peel The Curtain Back A Little

It's no secret that David Otunga is the weak link of the SmackDown Live announce team. Far from a slight on the man, Otunga is simply the least experienced broadcaster of his trio. JBL and Mauro Ranallo are much more seasoned when it comes to narrating live action.

Still, this week's SmackDown episode was one of the first during which Otunga really seemed comfortable at ringside. There was even a moment when he and JBL peeled back the curtain a tad to let fans in on their teacher and student working relationship. This didn't take away from the show at all, it only added to the fun.

During the 6-man tag bout that had The Spirit Squad and The Miz taking on Heath Slater, Rhyno and Dolph Ziggler, JBL barked that Kenny has less body fat than he does. There was a brief pause before Otunga shot back that even Mikey has less than the former WWE Champ does now.

Both announcers laughed, sharing a joke about JBL feeding Otunga lines and him having to be quicker off the mark in replying. The whole situation was short, coming across like JBL is training his younger peer on the job.
