Randy Orton feels younger wrestlers need to respect their elders, in WWE and beyond.

Randy Orton believes the level of respect younger wrestlers have for veterans has "dwindled" in recent years.

The WWE star told BT Sport that this is definitely something that's been "upsetting" him lately. However, Orton knows that this is rarely a "malicious" thing - it's just that newcomers don't look around them in the WWE locker room and see that they should respect those who paved the way.

They're maybe too busy looking out for themselves to see that others can help them reach that next level...if they show respect.

Randy refused to name any names, but he did say that some who come up from NXT to Raw or SmackDown have this problem. Giving an example, Orton said, "If [a veteran] needs a bag of ice after the match because you’re a big son of a bitch and he was trying to make you look like a killer, then you go get that ice for him".

The 22-year pro also said that some younger workers "take for granted how much we’re beating each other up". He'd like to see a bit more respect behind the scenes, not just in WWE but across the wrestling map in general.
