WWE Sting Into The Light Review: 10 Insights You Need To Know

1. Signing With WWE For What He Thought Was His Last Match

The documentary reveals that Sting didn't actually sign his WWE contract until January 2015, which is surprising considering he appeared for them at Survivor Series 2014 and in other WWE related roles before that. His discussions with them went back to December 2013, when Triple H first started getting in touch. "I was instrumental from the first phone call," The Game boasts. It sounds like WrestleMania was what convinced Sting to sign. He badly wanted to work the event. "After thirty years, I never experienced anything like this," he says when headed to WrestleMania 31. He actually expected that match to be his last ever effort, hence why he did the job. "I'm glad it ended up being Triple H," he claims, "What an honour to be in the ring with Triple H." "If it is my last match, it probably is, it's the right way to go out," he says on the loss. He then got married thirteen days later, but of course ended up coming back to wrestle Seth Rollins in September 2015.
