9. The New Day's Pre-Match Promo
The New Day are one of the most interesting acts in WWE at the moment. Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods exude so much personality during their segments that it's impossible not to be entertained. It's of great credit to the trio that they have forced people to take them seriously. Initially, the idea of the faction seemed tame, but all 3 have worked wonders. At SummerSlam, the team ignored their usual preacher-style promo and went for something altogether different. Paying homage the location of the Pay-Per-View, Brooklyn, New York was a shrewd move. By directly talking about the host city, The New Day were guaranteed a response. They didn't stop at a cheap pop, however. Instead, each member sang some lines from the hit Jay-Z song, 'Empire State Of Mind'. Of course, the lyrics were adapted somewhat to allude to The New Day's attempts to win the WWE Tag-Team Title. The fans lapped this promo up.
