WWE SummerSlam 2014: 10 Cameos We Most Want To See

5. Sting

TNATNAThere have been delays in announcing any sort of official deal but Sting has appeared on the WWE Network and the rumour is that his €˜7/14/2014€™ tweet relates to the announcement he will be in the new WWE 2K15 video-game. The company is using the legend in a small capacity but those fans that still remember him would like to see him have one run with the biggest wrestling company in the world. Without sounding like WWE Creative however, it€™s very hard to see where Sting could be placed in the current company. With Taker close to retirement, and with very bad knees, would a match with the equally banged up Sting really be the dream-match we all want to see? If he returns as GM then it would disappoint because, as we know from TNA, Sting without the make-up is just a guy in wrap-around sunglasses. A potential feud could be with someone like Randy Orton, in other words, The Authority. If Orton faces Roman Reigns, similar to WrestleMania and Daniel Bryan, then HHH, etc. could try everything to throw Reigns off his game and just as Orton is going for the pin, the lights go out and, after a few moments, come back on to show Sting, baseball bat in hand, laying out the company men that destroyed WCW and kept him out of the company for so many years (storyline, obviously). The reason why a match with someone like Orton or Rollins would work is because, with the greatest respect, they could carry Sting and dictate the speed of the match. It could also be long-running and the eventual pay-off could be at next year€™s WrestleMania. Either way, a long gestation for the Sting return would help more than a quick pay-off or dream-match with Taker which disappoints.
