The Jack Swagger/Zeb Colter face turn has been fun and given American fans a cathartic release when we chant USA! USA! at the dastardly foreign menaces. But heres the problem. Theres absolutely nowhere for the duo to go from here. I dont think anyone expected Swagger to get the better of this program. It was just a placeholder to help build heat for Rusev. But now that theyve turned The Real Americans face, despite Swagger being a far more natural heel, theres a very real fear that theyll soon be directionless. The former University of Oklahoma All-American is hoss in the ring, like a charisma-less blend of Kurt Angle and Steve Dr. Death Williams, and despite a few runs near the top of the card, hes just never felt like someone who was destined for much more than what hes already achieved. Well probably get one more match between the two, leading to a definite victory for Rusev before hes cycled onto something bigger, but unfortunately the smart money is that Jack will be stuck doing nothing much of anything after that.
