Have you ever checked-in to your hotel to find that your room is comprised of just two walls at right angles? In other words, have you ever booked yourself into a corner? Because that's what WWE have done here.

If Nakamura wins the title, it's far, far too early, and in no way the ideal circumstances for the 'King of Strong Style's further coronation as champion. If Jinder Mahal wins... well, it's not even worth contemplating.

Let's think about why Mahal is champion for a moment. WWE wanted to make in-roads in the Indian market. So far, that mission has not been accomplished. So should they just give up now? That'd render the last three months utterly pointless. Far better to have Jinder retain, but with a DQ or count-out finish - and that's what the company will wisely go for.

Incidentally, one point of interest is that this is the first time in WWE history that two performers of Asian origin have competed for the top title. This fact has been lost somewhat amidst all the naysaying, and whilst the company is still insistent on presenting an archaic 'foreign heel' storyline, it's diversity worth celebrating.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
