Forget the story about the Barclays Center advertising "Universal champion" Brock Lesnar for Monday's Raw for a moment; that's more than likely just the work of a misguided copywriter. As things stand, it's factually accurate, and the ambiguity says nothing about Sunday's result.

Brock is going to retain however. What sort of chump would give up such a great gig? Lesnar's is practically on a zero-hour contract, except he gets paid a mammoth sum for those zero hours. WWE certainly aren't anxious to cut him from the wage bill; he's basically the only star they have, and with rumours of UFC flirtations again on the rise, his stock has only heightened.

The number of dissenting voices tired of the 'Beast Incarnate's attitude are growing, but WWE's earmuffs are totally impervious to fan criticism. They knew the deal with Brock as champ - they've been here before when he held the WWE title. Keeping him as an irregular attraction is very much in their favour.

It doesn't matter who else in this match; Brock isn't leaving WWE after SummerSlam (ruling out some elaborate worked parting), so he isn't losing the belt. Every man will take a suplex in the process.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
