Another surefire future world champion left off the SummerSlam bill is Braun Strowman. That scenario would have been unthinkable a couple years ago in the midst of the mammoth's hot streak, where he featured in the SummerSlam main event and stole the show in the process! Even at last year's event, despite not having a match booked, Braun still played a pivotal role, again making his presence known in the final match of the night by threatening to cash in his money in the bank contact.

This year it just seems creative have no ideas for him, with him fully fit but with no rivalries currently ongoing and him rarely appearing on TV. Vanquishing Bobby Lashely in a last man standing match was the last significant thing Strowman did, being left aimless since.

This is where a clash against Goldberg would come into play, reminding the WWE universe just what a monster Braun really is. The former Wyatt Family member's towering size would ignite memories of Goldberg taking on The Giant (The Big Show). Whether Bill would still be able to get such a mountain of a man up for a jackhammer is anyone's guess, mind you. He failed to do so against The Undertaker, but was concussed at the time to be fair.

If he could pull it off it would create a SummerSlam moment that would live forever! That's not to say Braun couldn't kick out after and go on to emerge victorious however.
