WWE SummerSlam 2021: 10 Things That Must Happen

1. Roman Reigns Submits John Cena

Meanwhile, Mr. Reigns can moodily maraud through John Cena and question what's next for him on Friday nights. Beating someone the stature of Cena would be yet another step up for Roman after recent battles with Cesaro and Rey Mysterio. It's more in line with his rivalry opposite Edge too.

This is all building to that family clash with The Rock next year. It has to be.

JC doesn't need another title reign quite yet (not when he's so busy in Hollywood and can't commit to WWE for a few more months), and it'd be foolish to take the Universal gold off Roman when he's still absolutely killing it every single week; if anything, he's been even better since live crowds returned, which is...mad.

The only outcome that makes sense at SummerSlam is Reigns choking out Cena for the win. Who cares if people say that ends the pay-per-view on a low note? WWE are telling stories here, and the "good guy' doesn't need to win every time.

Roman's peerless shift as a heel makes any hate on social media worth it.
