WWE SummerSlam 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
3. Jeff Jarrett Turns Heel
That's H-DOUBLE E-L!
WWE's reveal that none other than Jeff Jarrett would be the special guest ref for the latest chapter of Usos vs. Street Profits tag-team goodness went down like you'd expect. It was unpredictable, but only because Jeff hasn't been tied to either side at all and isn't exactly known for laying down the law generally.
There's no word yet on whether or not this appearance will lead to a bigger on-screen role for the TNA founder soon. If that's the plan, then don't be surprised if Jarrett screws Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins out of the belts and then goes on to replace Adam Pearce as an authority figure.
Jeff could easily become a vehicle for The Bloodline on SmackDown. Does it make much sense? No, but neither did Pearce announcing Jarrett as special ref like it was some moment every fan on the planet had been waiting for.
Heel turn incoming for the hell of it? Could be.
