WWE SummerSlam 2025: 10 Things That Must Happen

The evil grin of Naomi was out in full force as she cashed in her MITB briefcase and hit a split legged moonsault before pinning IYO SKY to become the brand new Women's World Champion at Evolution on 13 July. That's a night the reborn heel will never forget, but she isn't the only one with a killer story going into SummerSlam. Things are still bubbling away between IYO and Rhea Ripley.

On Raw, both were on the winning side (alongside Nikki Bella and Stephanie Vaquer) in an 8-woman tag match. Afterwards, SKY paused mid-celebration to remind Rhea that she's never beaten her. Ripley vowed to put that right sooner rather than later. Naomi says screw that - she's about to add Rhea's scalp to her collection, then maniacally laugh as her challengers fall like dominoes.

Then she'll enjoy a Dominos pizza. Probably. Hopefully. Who doesn't love pizza?!

This Triple Threat is in a deceptive pressure spot. SKY and Ripley worked one of the greatest WWE matches of all time alongside Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41 this past spring. Naomi replaces Bianca at the weekend, and she'll be keen to show why creative has shown such faith in her. Ideally, she'll do that by putting in a banger of a performance then pinning Ripley.

It's real important that she beats Rhea, not IYO. Then, Naomi will be in the strongest position possible to proclaim that there's nobody left to challenge for her throne. That'll eventually sow seeds for Belair's comeback and one hell of a feud. Don't fret over 'Mami' or the 'Genius Of The Sky'. They're over, dudes.
