2. The First Five Minutes Were Rather Good
When the-powers-that-be announced to the world that we would be seeing The Undertaker wrestle Bill Goldberg at WrestleMania, it's safe to say that nobody was expecting much from the two semi-retired legends. Sure, 20 years ago this would have been awesome (and 10 years ago it may have been even better), but the truth is that neither of them can perform at the same level that they once did.
Thankfully, however, it was clear that the creative team was also aware of this as the match wisely took the Brock Lesnar-approach, trimming all the filler and jumping straight into the high-impact finisher territory. This ultimately made for a surprisingly fun watch, allowing both superstars to tell an edge-of-seat story in a short amount of time and, most importantly, deliver their best offence early-on before they got too tanked.
Even after Goldberg busted himself open, 'Taker covered it well, unleashing his greatest hits to make up for his opponent's lack of co-ordination, and had it ended after that first Tombstone, it would have gone down in history as a major win for both men, simply because the brief contest was better than it had any business of being. Unfortunately, it did not end there.
