WWE Super Showdown: 7 Last Minute Rumours You Need To Know

4. Better Safe Than Stranded

The last time WWE was in Saudi Arabia, circumstances conspired to strand almost the entire roster in the country and subsequently miss SmackDown show taking place the following evening. Whatever you might have read about this (and there's been a lot of conflicting reports about it), there remains a possibility that it could happen again.

Vince has, thus, taken no chances this time. The roster, normally stuffed to breaking point with the heft of the WWE roster feels oddly sparse this time around. There's no Braun Strowman, no Kevin Owens, no Daniel Bryan, no Drew Galloway, no Sheamus, no Charlotte, no Shinsuke Nakamura, no Randy Orton, no Asuka, no Rusev, and no Becky Lynch.

While some of these names have long-standing reasons for not taking part in the shows, it's clear that WWE wants to ensure that enough talent remains in the country in the event of... extenuating circumstance. Potentially reducing the bargaining power of any unnamed political regime that might have influence over their flight home. Thus, expect no further matches to be announced or main-roster surprise appearances.
