Daniel Bryan's "passion mixed with mental instability" promo on last week's SmackDown was one of the show's key highlights. He delivered it with fire in his voice, and things were made even better by The Miz's smug pr*ck shenanigans questioning Dan's integrity.

That's something WWE can continue to play around with.

Even if Bryan's promo last Friday wasn't supposed to be some branching story, it should become one. A major flaw in WWE's formula over the past few years has been their inability to take little gems and run with them. If they're remotely interested in changing that, then Daniel should cut another intoxicating promo at Survivor Series.

He'd wonder aloud whether it's worth pursuing another Universal Title shot against the menacing Bray Wyatt, and he's question his own mental health. This might be tricky to handle sensitively without offending anyone, but Bryan has the chops to pull it off and doubt his own sanity.
