WWE: The Complete WrestleMania 29 Review

Ryback vs Mark Henry

This match was the only match on the show that I felt was not Mania-worthy. For one, they were given far too much time at 8 minutes given that at least four of those minutes were spent in a bear hug, one of my least favorite moves in professional wrestling. Though it started out promising and exactly as it should have, with both men just colliding into each other at full speed and being incapable of knocking the other down, the vast majority of the match was an elongated resthold. The build to the match was as strong as it was going to be, and I think both men contribute a lot to the company, they just don't work well together, as it so often is when pitting two mammoth-sized athletes against each other. A slow and boring match with a finish that, while eliciting a huge laugh from my friends and myself, was pretty ridiculous and indecisive considering the fact that Ryback seems to be moving on to the WWE Title and John Cena. Ryback collapses under the weight of Henry while going for the Shellshock, leading to a pin for the World's Strongest Man. He is Shellshocked post-match for his troubles. *1/2

Josh Biederman hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
