WWE: The Rise And Fall Of The World Heavyweight Championship

Brand Unification

There is no doubt that the idea of a three hour Raw is greatly appealing and, after a quite bumpy start, the program is beginning to hit its stride- delivering good wrestling with some nice promos and other segments. However this, along with the saturation of shows on the WWE (Superstars, Main Event, NXT) besides the two 'big ones' it has left the idea of brand separation somewhat obsolete. So it seemed pretty logical to bring all the wrestlers under the big umbrella of one WWE brand once again. The problem is, that essentially there is two world titles for one roster, which means that one has to be relegated to the secondary role. It comes as no shock that this has been the WWE Championship, but the WWE make no bones about burying the WHC for the sake of WWE Championship, which leads me to my next point.
