To the surprise of likely nobody, WWE Unreal - the docuseries that has firmly split opinion - will be returning for a second season, as has now been confirmed to Fightful Select,

Given the hype around WWE Unreal's first season, it was expected that the show would be back for a second season, and that's now confirmed to be the case. Fightful has been told that filming is already underway for this sophomore season, with Seth Rollins said to be among those spotlighted this time around.

Season 2 of WWE Unreal is expected to premiere in 2026, with the tentative plan being for the season to air in January. Director Chris Weaver has been at multiple shows to film content, dating as far back as this year's Money in the Bank PLE. Of course, backstage WWE footage of Rollins' eventual Money in the Bank cash-in at SummerSlam also showed Weaver sat in the Gorilla position as the Visionary made his way out to the ring.

While it's far from confirmed, there has been plentiful speculation that Seth Rollins' 'injury' against LA Knight on Saturday Night's Main Event was partly done with WWE Unreal in mind, as WWE creative looked to show how they can manipulate their fanbase. In this case, it was manipulating that fanbase - and various wrestlers and staff, by all accounts - to believe that Seth was dealing with a potentially serious injury, only for this to all have been a ruse done to add an element of surprise to Rollins' MITB cash-in on CM Punk to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Either way, WWE Unreal Season 2 is on the way for next year.
