WWE: WrestleMania 30: 10 Things We Are Most Disappointed With

7. Lack Of Trust In The Roster

We've all heard it discussed countless times. I'm sure WWE have heard it discussed thousands of times as well, yet they still do not trust the majority of their roster. Dolph Ziggler in the main event? Sure... As long as it's at a B pay-per-view that isn't actually important! When it comes to Wrestlemania, if your name is not John Cena, at least in previous years, you've got no chance of getting near that main event. Even when CM Punk was embarking on his long championship reign, he wrestled Chris Jericho and it was bumped down the card in favour of Cena and the part time stars. Daniel Bryan is the hottest thing in wrestling perhaps since the attitude era, and his struggles of getting in the main event of Wrestlemania have been well documented. His path blocked by another part time star, and there is the problem. Every year, WWE does its best to bring back these part time stars for Wrestlemania, such as The Rock, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and whilst Batista isn't actually 'part-time', he is a recently returning superstar of the past, one that won't be around for very long. This is because the roster that they trust for the rest of the year, is suddenly not good enough, in their opinion, to attract a good buy rate for the biggest pay-per-view of the year. It almost seems like WWE have forgotten how to make stars, which is crazy, considering that it's the very thing they used to be known for. For somebody that watches wrestling every week, it's really disappointing to not see the stars that we watch every week featured prominently at Wrestlemania. It's satisfying to see the guys that you emotionally invest in week in, week out be rewarded for their hard work. I know that I would be a hell of a lot more excited for Wrestlemania if the main event was, for example, Daniel Bryan v CM Punk, or if somebody such as Dolph Ziggler was allowed to capitalise on being 'held down' by facing HHH at the big show. Inserting these part time stars with 'big' names may paper over the cracks for WWE at the moment, but soon they'll all be gone and WWE will be left to regret the fact that they didn't trust any of their full time stars sooner.
