WWE WrestleMania 30: 10 Ways To Make Orton Vs Batista Interesting

8. Loser Leaves Town Match

The pseudo-firing angle is as old as the dusty finish in wrestling lore. It has been done for years in wrestling companies all over the world. It can be especially useful to reboot or refresh a character. Cody Rhodes was fired in 2013 and came back relatively quickly and a similar situation occurred with Jericho only for him to return at the Royal Rumble in 2012. There are plenty of ways WWE can write the loser (preferably Batista, especially if Orton becomes a tweener) back on TV. Fans have rejected the insertion of Batista into the main event over crowd favorite Daniel Bryan. Fans could rally behind Orton to defeat Batista if they have incentive to do so. A victory for Orton that leaves Batista without a job is a way to send the fans home happy if this match were to indeed go on last. Triple H could add the stipulation to the match by stating that the winner of the match is the new face of the company and there is no place in his WWE for losers. Triple H could eventually side with Batista leading up to Mania because he fears Orton would not be able to succeed in the clutch. Referring his numerous losses to Daniel Bryan. He could also mention how he had previously faced both in one-on-one Mania matches and only Batista was able to defeat him. Thus making his the rightfully choice as new face of the company. If Batista were to lose Triple H could always just hire him back in a few weeks claiming some sort of technicality. Heels lie and he's the boss so he can do as he pleases.
