This is an outside shot for sure, but if WWE really wants to pull the trigger on Axel then they need to consider it. The "Axelmania" stuff has been done for comedic purposes mostly, but you can tell it's working because the crowd is legitimately getting behind him. A win for Axel could be done by making it seem like something of a fluke because he's so far down the totem pole. Maybe he just keeps finding a way to hang on, he eliminates nobody the entire time and then he finds a way to toss out the last guy by avoiding an attack. For people that say that a match like this doesn't really matter then that's fair to say, but that's also another reason why Axel winning could be a fun idea. He doesn't have to be a comedy guy. He can use a win to give him a push back in the right direction. Battle royals are supposed to be fun. Make people laugh. Have a good time. Every match on the show doesn't have to be a serious event where guys must win or their careers are over. The fans are reacting to Axel in a positive way. Capitalize on that.
