WWE WrestleMania 34: 10 Things That Must Happen

One of the biggest problems WWE face if they crown Seth Rollins or Finn Bálor new Intercontinental king at 'Mania is making it mean something around their waists. When Roman Reigns was champ from November-January, it meant little because fans could tell Roman's real goal was the Universal Title.

That'd be the same for Rollins/Finn, and that's why The Miz is the best IC Champion in years.

Even when Miz hasn't been titleholder, he has coveted the belt and talked about it in promos. When he has been champion, his heelish brags about being the most important champ in WWE have put the title over as meaningful. For either of his challengers, the belt would be treated as a stepping stone to greater things.

Seeing Miz sneak away with his title reign intact by playing Bálor and Rollins against one another makes perfect sense. Even if Miz wants to take some time off to spend with his new-born baby, he can do so as champion. Why not? He can still cut promos wearing it from home and be called out as a coward by babyfaces.
