WWE WrestleMania 37: 10 Awesome Matches That Should Happen (And Why They Won't)

If WWE still believes that this is Show of Shows, the WrestleMania 37 card must look like this.

The Road to WrestleMania is finally here. Professional wrestling is in a very weird place at the moment but that doesn't mean that all hope is lost, especially with the Showcase of the Immortals around the corner. WrestleMania retains more than enough sparkle to drag even the most cynical of lapsed fan back into the game, and WWE has the talent to put on a truly incredible card. In fact, with that roster, WrestleMania should be a Show of the Year candidate every single time.

Instead, the promotion chooses to give us Goldberg vs. Braun Strowman and Elias vs. King Corbin. It is what it is.

What should the WrestleMania 37 card look like? Whether by accident or by design, WWE has manoeuvred itself into a position where a number of feuds and stories are heating up at the right time, ready to reach a natural conclusion on the Grandest Stage of Them All. This could be an all-timer of a WrestleMania, but fans can be forgiven for expecting less than that.

Still, it doesn't have to be Goldberg vs. Drew, Roman vs. Brock and Edge vs. Randy all over again. By booking these 10 matches, WWE could put on a show that is deserving of its reputation as the Grandaddy of Them All.

10. Jey Uso Vs. Daniel Bryan

Okay, bear with me for a moment, this one requires a little bit of explaining. WWE has done an excellent job of making Jey Uso a legitimate top-level player in recent months, establishing him as singles heel to be reckoned with. The promotion can't allow this momentum to be stopped through inactivity, but it also needs to give Jey something to do that doesn't directly involve Roman Reigns. With that in mind, Jey should be the one to dethrone Big E. as WWE Intercontinental Champion. If this happens after E. wins the Royal Rumble, even better.

Daniel Bryan has never made any secret of his desire to make the IC Championship a title for the workhorses, to defend it against the unheralded talent of SmackDown on a weekly basis. He has won it at WrestleMania before, but injury scuppered his plans. Last year, he fell short in challenging Sami Zayn for the same belt. Could third time be the charm for a once in a generation talent in the twilight of his career?

Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso fighting over the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 37 has all the potential in the world but it more than likely won't happen. Bryan could be an outside bet for the Rumble, while Uso will likely have to make do with a Battle Royal spot or some sort of role on the outside during Roman's match.
