WWE WrestleMania 38: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

7. Johnny Knoxville = IC Champ

Being honest, the once-proud Intercontinental belt is in the toilet anyway. WWE's crappy booking since Big E dropped it to Apollo Crews at last year's 'Mania has seen to that; follow up champs like Crews and Shinsuke Nakamura tanked, and now Ricochet is the latest to try and make something of IC.

Cue quite the insult?

What if Rico's reign was suddenly ended on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 38? Why? Well, WWE writers may reason that the flyer isn't getting on to either night's card anyway. So, basically, they'd stick the Intercontinental prize back on Sami Zayn and...have Zayn drop it to Johnny Knoxville 48 hours later.

This might sound controversial, but yours truly wouldn't have minded JK winning the IC Title from Sami had Ricochet not been involved. Stripping the title from him without giving Rico a proper chance sounds sucky though. Also, yeah, this writer has flip-flopped on Knoxville as champ several times.

Urgh, this belt's modern lineage is a nightmare.
