WWE WrestleMania 40: 20 Nightmares That Could Come True

Triple H and WWE wouldn't do all of THIS and ruin WrestleMania...would they?!

There's a lot WWE must do during WrestleMania 40 weekend.

People want major title changes, fabulous landmark moments, cameos to remember, and two cards that sit amongst the best 'Mania has ever produced. Can Triple H and his writers meet those expectations head on? What's more, can WWE's roster deliver the goods and double down on company momentum they've created in early 2024?

If you believe everything in this article, then no. Everything will go wrong, and WrestleMania XL will be remembered as WrestleMania XS - as in, extra small, because...well let's just roll with it. These are nightmares, and everyone knows barely anything makes sense when you're having a "scary dream" anyway.

There's scant positivity here. This is the absolute worst that could occur across the biggest weekend of WWE's year. So, instead of all those pro wrestling pressies you're surely anticipating, 'Mania 40 might have sagging performances, unwanted belt switches, and an ending flatter than someone on the receiving end of a Roman Reigns spear.

Trips could have a riot on his hands in Philly if things go this badly...

20. A Brotherly Battle Sags

Last year, this match would've been hot sh*t and closer to the top of WWE cards. Sure, Jey vs. Jimmy in a battle of brothers is still valid, but the bloom is definitely off the rose for Bloodline stories sans Roman Reigns or (latterly) The Rock. Also, Jimmy has been cast as more of a wisecracking hanger on than a serious threat recently.

The Usos could have their work cut out for them on Saturday night.

Obviously, everyone hopes they smash it and put on a performance closer to Bret vs. Owen than Matt vs. Jeff, but there's a real concern this sibling scuffle could sag in the middle and never recover. WWE will have to be real careful with the bout, because the build has been uninspiring to say the least.

What a nightmare it'd be for Jey especially if the match sucked and Triple H lost faith in anything Bloodline-related outside the core heavy hitters. These lads created cinema before, but now they've been tasked with turning a 'B' movie into Hollywood's next blockbuster.

It could be rough.
