WWE announced that the next Clash At The Castle will take place close to Drew McIntyre's hometown of Ayr in Glasgow, Scotland this coming June. It isn't a stadium show like the one in Wales, but that should be a momentous occasion for the big Scot...or not. What if his World Title dreams crumble at 'Mania?

As his countrymen and women say, that'd be "baws".

McIntyre has never been more ready to seize the day and win a World Title. Yes, he was raring to go back in 2020 before COVID scooped his glory slightly, but that was during the babyface hero days. In 2024, McIntyre is one of the finest heels going, and he'd be an excellent choice to replace Seth Rollins in the hot seat on Mondays.

There's a simple reason why WWE's writers would toss Drew to one side and focus on others. Perhaps they're content to look past him. Y'know, look past him towards a feud that was actually creative's original plan in the first place...
