...this!

CM Punk will be around ringside as a guest commentator for the World Title showdown between defending champ Seth and undignified challenger Drew on Sunday night. Many expect he's only there to get involved in the finish somehow. That could be it, but what if this is bigger than that?

WWE won't have given up on the thought of booking Punk vs. Rollins once CM recovers from injury. Naturally, Seth has had some injury woes of his own to contend with, but it's only a matter of time before this mega-match hits company rings and spikes serious interest on PLE. It'd be rotten if McIntyre's challenge was a makeweight for more build towards that.

We're not quite finished with the nightmare-inducing thought of WWE pushing number one troll heel Drew to the side for the rest of 2024 mind. Not by a long shot. There's also the not so small matter of somebody else and a contractually-guaranteed opportunity.
