Money In The Bank could do with a rest.

The idea has been fun for decades, but Damian Priest's current plight sums up why the briefcase gimmick should go on the shelf for a while. WWE doesn't know whether to stick or twist with the Judgment Day man. He doesn't fit into any World Title scenario neatly heading into WrestleMania, but they're running out of time to cash in.

That could cause panic behind the scenes and force Hunter to pen a hasty cash in moment for Priest that ends badly for everyone. Drew McIntyre's moment would vanish, Seth would taste some of his own medicine from 'Mania 31 in 2015 against someone he's hardly been paying attention to, and Raw's writing team would have a lesser-feeling World Champion on their hands in Damian.

That's not necessarily his fault. He was hotter last year than he is currently, chiefly 'cause creative has shone a spotlight on other characters more than Priest. WWE is in a strange position of not wanting to make JD's heavy hitter look weak but also probs not wanting to put gold on him.

Yikes!
