WWE WrestleMania 42: 20 Things That NEED To Happen

It’s one of wrestling’s riskiest spots, no doubt, but if someone like Je’Von Evans or JD McDonagh is willing to take it from Penta then a Mexican Destroyer off one ladder through another would look nifty as all hell on the grandest stage. That’d also be a dynamic route to Penta retaining the Intercontinental Title in this 6-man ladder war, which he surely will.

Why JD or Evans? Well, McDonagh isn't adverse to taking big bumps, and Je'Von is a bouncy, bouncy boy who'd bounce up like bouncy boys do. Let's be real - can you see Rusev taking a Destroyer off a ladder through another ladder? Or Rey Mysterio in 2026?! Rey Rey must be protected at all costs.

That leaves Dragon Lee as another option, so maybe he'll stick his hand up backstage and say: 'Meh, I'll do it for the pop'. Everyone must have that pop. They crave it. Just ask Jim Ross on his 'Grilling JR' podcast. It is all about the pop! Seriously though, big pops and even bigger bumps will be duel mission statements for this IC Title ladder scrap from first bell to last.

They're not going out there to work a technical classic. It'll be a love letter to ladder stunt shows from the past, whilst hopefully showing WWE fans what's coming down the road for the likes of JD, Evans and Lee. So, who's going to volunteer to literally put their neck on the line so this match gets one of those moments everyone talks about with dewy-eyed fondness?
