WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025: 8 Nightmares That Could Come True

1. Cena’s Last Opponent Reveal Is A Letdown

Just who will get the nod to work Cena's last ever match? Gunther is one name being thrown around, and there are even those who believe The Rock will dip back into view right on time to give his old foe one more whirl. 'Thrice In A Lifetime' jokes write themselves there. One thing's clear: It must be somebody big time.

Prepare yourself for a bummer then. Someone could attack John after his match with Brock to line up his last match, but it might not be the calibre of opponent people crave. Cena only has a handful of appearances left in the company before retiring. That’s enough time for 2 matches if those bouts don’t need a ton of build. Lord only knows who the first would be at either Crown Jewel or Survivor Series, but his last date will likely be Saturday Night’s Main Event on 13 December.

What if that person ambushes Cena at Wrestlepalooza and it’s somebody lame fans aren’t into? Logan Paul, for example, would be a huge downer. He already got his wish by wrestling John at Clash In Paris, but Triple H may fancy booking some sort of stipulation-heavy rematch. Or, what if it's just Seth Rollins and a World Title crack that awaits Cena?

Both big stars, but something sounds less-than about the whole thing - especially when John has limited dates left. WWE better have something cool up their sleeves, because some parts of Cena's retirement tour have been seriously lacking. His heel turn was a shocking waste of everyone's time. They defo don't want the lingering memory of his last match to be another misstep.

Whomever ambushes Cena at Wrestlepalooza, they must be someone fans accept as John's final rival.
