WWE WrestleMania 30: 7 Things That Will Make Us Mark Out
6. The Debut Of An Icon
There are very few top stars who can claim to have never worked for Vince McMahon's WWE. Sting is one of them. If fans get their wish, that will change Sunday night. No longer contractually obligated to any promotion, Sting has the freedom to go to work anywhere he pleases, to create new moments and memories for a new generation of fans to enjoy. One of those moments could very well be a long-awaited match against the Phenom, the most respected star in WWE history, The Undertaker. It is a match that fans have been pining to see for years now, dating back to 2011. An appearance that sets up that match, perhaps after the Deadman's victory over Brock Lesnar, would be one of those truly shocking moments that are rare in today's sports-entertainment world. An in-person appearance is not necessary, though. A simple video package that announces his impending debut, like it did for Goldberg in 2003, would instantly become one of the most talked-about and celebrated moments of the evening. A debut on Raw and face-to-face confrontation with the Phenom would set up a match for WrestleMania 31 that would make the event one of the biggest in company history.
