WWE's 20 Greatest Couples

11. The Macho King & The Sensation Queen

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCrAp4X7wjs Some would argue that "Macho Man" Randy Savage and "Sensational" Sherri Martel's relationship was strictly professional and there was no romantic connection whatsoever. However, I'm operating under the fact that Sherri was referenced as "Queen" Sherri while Savage referred to himself as "the Macho King." And everyone knows that a woman only becomes a queen when she marries a king. So, there. After WrestleMania V, Savage dismissed Miss Elizabeth as his manager, choosing the ruthless and conniving Sherri to be his new escort. The two made for a truly memorable tandem, thanks to Savage's unmatched bravado and Sherri's off-kilter personality. As the only woman to ever hold the AWA and WWE's Women's Championships, Sherri had first-hand experience when it came to action in the ring, something Miss Elizabeth lacked. Sherri's experience coupled with her willingness to do whatever it took to help Savage win made her a more effective manager than Elizabeth. When anyone faced Savage, not only did they have to worry about being beaten to a pulp by the former WWE Champion, they also had to worry about his manager kicking the tar out of them too! As a couple, the two made history as one of the teams to compete in WWE's first-ever Mixed Tag Team Match (against Sapphire & Dusty Rhodes). At WrestleMania VII, their relationship came to a violent end when Sherri attacked a defeated Savage after his Retirement Match with The Ultimate Warrior. Thankfully, Elizabeth returned to make the save for Savage.
