14. Trish Stratus & Chris Jericho
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IW1_IXMtLE When Chris Jericho and Trish Stratus began showing an interest in each other in late 2003, no one really expected that it would all be a ruse on Jericho's part. After all, Trish was beautiful, talented, and smart. It turns out it was nothing more than a running bet between tag partners Jericho and Christian who were competing to see who could bed their respective Diva (Trish and Lita) first. While they were going over their bet and putting one Canadian dollar on the line, Trish overhead everything from the doorway of the locker room. Jericho did everything in his power to win Trish back, revealing that it had started out as a chauvinistic bet but that he truly did develop feelings for her. Sadly, it wasn't Trish in the shower when Jericho confessed but rather Mae Young. You know, because even when retired wrestlers aren't booked, they can be found in the damndest places backstage. Trish seemingly seemed interested in continuing her romance with Jericho, until she humiliated him at WrestleMania XX by not only "inadvertently" costing him his match against Christian, but also slapping the taste out of his mouth and sharing spit with Christian right in front of Jericho and the sell-out Madison Square Garden audience. It is said that the original plan was meant to have Trish and Jericho wind up together, but plans changed at the last minute. While many wanted to see two of Canada's greatest contributions to Professional Wrestling end up with a happily ever after, it was just not in the cards. When Trish made a guest appearance on RAW in 2009 as a special host, the past was revisited between the two thanks to a backstage segment and subsequent Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match.
