WWE's Deal With Hulu Expiring

WWE and Hulu's long-standing relationship is reportedly coming to an end.

As per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, it looks like WWE's relationship with Hulu is coming to an end.

The belief is that the current deal between WWE and Hulu is expiring in 2022 or possibly as soon as the end of this year.

These two parties first began working together back in 2012, with Hulu having next-day on-demand US access to stream Raw, SmackDown and other select WWE broadcasts.

With this arrangement to expire sooner rather than later, the speculation is that Peacock is likely to be interested in picking up this next-day option for WWE programming. At present, Peacock already has access to Raw and SmackDown - only that those new episodes are not available until 30 days after they've first aired.

Of course, Peacock is the exclusive home for WWE Network in the United States. That means that it would be somewhat of a no-brainer for them to swoop in and pick up where Hulu left off.

It's not just Peacock who are would-be suitors for these next-day on-demand rights for WWE content, mind, for there could realistically be a bidding war featuring other streaming platforms, such as Amazon, Netflix, YouTube and countless others.
