20 Best Matches From WWE's 'C' Shows

19. Sheamus Vs. Michael McGillicutty - Saturday Morning Slam

The dearly departed Saturday Morning Slam was unique in tone among WWE's televised programs. It was a comedy, a light-hearted ringside romp with Mick Foley as the GM. No match better exemplified the show's unique flavor than this match between Sheamus and Michael McGillicutty.

No one has ever been able to adequately explain why being gently guided toward the ropes by one's arm results in involuntary jogging, but this match nevertheless hung a hilarious lampshade on the impossible physics of the Irish whip.

Sheamus threw young Michael into the ropes, then left the ring to have a drink while his hapless foe was trapped in an unbreakable cycle of rope-running. Because inertia?

Another highlight: McGillicutty realizing halfway through that he's on a comedy show wrestling a comedy match and getting really upset about it.
