WWE's FOX Account Deletes Controversial Kairi Sane Tweet

Another PR plunder from the increasingly spicy Twitter account.

The @WWEOnFOX Twitter account made headlines last week after lambasting the WWE Raw crowd for peppering the show with "what?!" chants, particularly the Rusev/Jerry Lawler segment, which was largely met with indifference.

Now, the page has dropped another clanger in a response to a fan asking "Where are the people of color" following a Raw poster featuring Hulk Hogan, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Erick Rowan, Kairi Sane, and Ric Flair.

This sparked controversy on Reddit and social media, though Sane is, technically, a person of colour ("A person who is not white or of European parentage.")

Still, the phrasing isn't great, and there was no need for the account to open this can of worms by even engaging in the first place. Greater representation on posters like this wouldn't go amiss either, though.

Those behind @WWEOnFOX have since replied to the Reddit thread, saying: "it was a bad tweet on our end. We shouldn't have even replied, or we could've used other examples, but we just should've stayed quiet. Mistakes happen, and this was on us."

Fair play.
