8. Becky Lynch (SmackDown Women's Champion)
On paper, Becky Lynch's run as SmackDown Women's Champion was actually quite dire. She only successfully defended the belt once when the referee failed to see Bliss' foot on the rope as she tapped out. On top of that, even though she had the belt she did not lead her brand into battle at Survivor Series.
Becky did however prove to be the first SDL Women's Champion that the brand needed. Dubbed the 'best women's wrestler' by Daniel Bryan at the draft, Becky had always been the 'other one' of the Four Horsewomen despite her incredible in-ring talent. Defeating five other women in the inaugural bout helped set the tone for what SmackDown and the brand extension was all about: giving opportunities to the overshadowed. This was ultimately the perfect introduction for the new title.
