Brakkus, real name Achim Albretch, was a German born body builder who had come to wrestling in 1996. Never the most mobile competitor in the ring he, nonetheless, had the type of physical build that Vince McMahon loved.

With absolutely no background in fighting, it was little surprise that he did not last long in the tournament. According to Savio Vega, his opponent in the first round, Brakkus had no idea of the shoot nature of tournament. He thought it was a work and ended up getting his nose busted by Vega. He also sustained injuries that bad during the bout that it ultimately shortened his wrestling career and he retired in 1999.

In 2009, Flex magazine ranked Albrecht in eighth place for having the best quadriceps femoris muscles in history. Today is a personal trainer and a sports nutritionist in the San Francisco area.
