7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (1 December - Results & Review)
4. Judgment Day Resurrection
With the exception of Dominik Mysterio, the Judgment Day in recent months has resembled that 20-something who graduated high school five years ago, never left town, and continued to live off past glories, despite living with his parents and working a temp job.
That perception changed Monday night when Liv Morgan returned and verbally issued a hard reset of the group by acknowledging their failings and declaring that they were going to reclaim “everything that’s ours.” What’s more, the women would immediately set out to accomplish this.
After the main event ended in a double disqualification, chaos broke out, with multiple tag teams battling at ringside, only for the Judgment Day to wipe all of them out and stand tall.
That segment wiped away any thoughts of dissension in the group when Roxanne Perez attempted to hand one of the tag titles over to Morgan, and she immediately handed it back, serving as a silent acceptance of the Prodigy – who joined Judgment Day after Liv’s injury – as part of the group. There was no bickering, no snide comments from Finn Balor either.
Throw in Dominik recapturing the Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series after the entire Judgment Day interfered on his behalf against John Cena, and you’ve got a banner 48 hours for the stable.
Judgment Day isn’t going to surpass The Vision at the top of the men’s division, but collectively, the six wrestlers will have a bigger footprint on Raw thanks to the women, and they immediately felt like a more serious group compared to where they were just a couple weeks ago.
