2. Liv Makes Her Return

Liv Morgan’s return to action has been rumored for quite some time now, with reports circulating about her possibly being at several shows. The rumor mill finally ended Saturday night when Morgan returned during the Intercontinental Championship match between her boyfriend Dominik Mysterio and John Cena.

Morgan showed up and immediately punched Dirty Dom, turning to Cena and jumping into his arms, seemingly turning face. But she dropped her smile – ala Cena’s ill-conceived heel turn earlier this year – and kicked John low (again a callback), helping Mysterio vanquish Cena and regain his IC title.

This really is the right call for Liv – she and Daddy Dom have a lot more fuel and are an extremely popular duo. They both can turn face together when Mysterio reaches that inevitable watershed moment when they can’t hold back the cheers any longer, or Dominik could make the turn without her. But having Liv actually leave him upon her return would not have served anyone well.

This was a truly positive moment – Liv has had a fantastic year, and it’s a shame she lost a few months to injury. Here’s hoping she can recover that momentum and recapture that energy.
