10 Affordable Comic Books To Invest In Now (Before It's Too Late)

5. X-23 Vol. 2 #1 (2010)

Miles Morales Spider-Man
Marvel Comics

Why It's Noteworthy: Low-print variant cover

FMV at 9.8: $46 - $1,450

Since making her feature film debut in Logan, the female clone of Wolverine, known as X-23, has exploded in popularity. That's not surprising given the incredible performance of Dafne King as Laura (X-23) in that film. Just two years later, her comics are killing it on the collector's marketplace.

X-23 has been selling well since she first entered in o the Marvel Universe in NYX #3 back in 2004. She's had a few solo series over the years, and one of the most collectible is her second volume, which was published in 2010.

If you have a copy of the #1 issue from that series, you may have something that's worth a bit of cash. If you're missing out, you can pick up any of the four variant copies for less than $50, but there is one worth way more than the others.

The Gabriele Dell'Otto variant cover was limited and hard to find when it was first published. If you have one that's a high grade, it's worth well over $1,400, but even if you don't, and that's out of your investment price range, you can always grab a first-printing of the standard cover for around $100.
