10 Affordable Comic Books To Invest In Now (Before It's Too Late)

4. Spider-Gwen #1 (2015)

Miles Morales Spider-Man

Why It's Noteworthy: 1st solo series for Spider-Gwen

FMV at 9.8: $40 - $400

Spider-Gwen made her first appearance in Edge of Spider-Verse #2, and that's obviously a valuable book, but if you're looking for a great investment comic featuring everybody's favorite new Spider-Person, you can't go wrong with a copy of Spider-Gwen #1.

Spider-Gwen was immediately popular, and within a year, she had her own solo series, which premiered with this #1 issue in 2015. As you can expect, there were several variant covers, and some are far more valuable than others.

The Adam Hughes variant (pictured) is the one to have, as it's worth around $400 in excellent condition. Other variants, including the Anka, Young, Phantom, and two other Adam Hughes variants, are all going for between $36 and $95, so if you have any of these variant copies, get them graded as soon as possible.

You can always head out and purchase a good-quality copy of the standard, first-printing edition. If you happen to have one, you can get $50 for it, but you'd be much better off keeping the issue. Spider-Gwen is certain to reappear in the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which will put her books in higher demand.
