10 Most Anticipated Comics Of 2014

1. Multiversity by Grant Morrison et al. (DC)

Multiveristy Grant Morrison has been promising Multiversity for some time now with publication expected last year but now looks to (hopefully) be released this year. The series will be nine 40-page issues exploring the DC Multiverse with 7 different artists for 7 different issues. Each comic will take place in a different parallel universe and feature a different storytelling approach. The basic premise is that something is bringing down the structure of the Multiverse. Among the plethora of ideas in this series is a pulpy adventure comic that's Indiana Jones crossed with John Constantine; Calvin Ellis, the black President Superman, will star in one issue; a comic set post-World War 3 where the planet's human population has been decimated to 2 billion, told from the perspective of Lady Blackhawk, the Atom and Immortal Man; a story told from the perspective of the children of superheroes living in a utopian world where the superheroes have brought about world peace €“ the tone will be similar to the vapid TV show, The Hills. There's also the mysterious Ultra Comic which Morrison has only hinted at. He claims that the comic will be haunted and possess the reader, transforming the reader into a superhero when they read it. Hey, it's Grant Morrison €“ were you expecting anything less cray-cray? The release date has been pushed back each year for the last couple of years so fingers crossed we get to see this awesome series sometime in 2014! * What titles are you most looking forward to this year? Are there any not in the article that you're excited about? Let me know in the comments below!
