10 Awesome One-Hit Knockouts In Comic Books

1. Batman KO'S Guy Gardner

This is, without any shadow of a doubt, the most famous knockout in comic book history. It occurred back in the days when Guy Gardner was even more intolerable than he has been in recent years (which is quite something, because he€™s been extremely annoying ever since he first appeared), he had a real issue with Batman being the leader of the Justice League International €“ of which he was a member. For five issues, Guy did nothing but whine about how he wasn't in charge and thought he should be. Finally, in Justice League International #5, Batman goaded Guy into a fight to settle things between the two, with Guy even taking his power ring off, thinking he could beat him without it. The result is a classic comic book moment in which Batman decks the guy in a single punch. The incident is fondly known as €œone punch€, thanks largely to the response of Blue Beetle.
