Amidst a sea of fish-based puns (see what we did there), in 1975's Invaders #39, Captain America and his buddies faced off with a scaly foe out at sea. It was U-Man AKA Meranno who dwarfed the super soldier in terms of both size and strength, and as the hero attacked the aquatic beast alongside fellow Invader the Human Torch, all it took was one shot from the villain to render him instantly unconscious. The beast then retreated to the sea with the superheroine Golden Girl under his arm - the sea being a place the Human Torch obviously can't be of any use, and so he got away safely.
