In Wonder Woman #2 way back in 1942, the villainous demigod Lord Conquest came up with a scheme in an attempt to defeat the titular heroine. Lord Conquest had possessed the giant slugger known as Mammotha and had lured Wonder Woman in to the boxing ring to face him. Mammotha had been juggling with 500lb balls and pulling an elephant to display his strength beforehand, which obviously didn't intimidate the super-powered Amazon warrior. After some sparring - during which Wonder Woman had been going very easy on her opponent and Mammotha had been running his mouth - Wonder Woman got serious and ended the fight with a single uppercut, embarrassing Mammotha and disappointing Lord Conquest in a big way.
