6. After Stan Lee Retired From Marvel, He Went To Work For DC
Most of us know Stan "The Man" Lee as the co-creator of many of Marvel Comics most iconic characters such as Spider-Man, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor, the X-Men, and many others. However, many people don't remember that Lee actually went to work for DC for a brief period. The beloved comic book writer did a series for DC Comics called "Just Imagine" where he would re-imagine some of DC's most famous characters as he would have written them. Some of these changes included: Superman was renamed Salden and was a member of the Kryptonian Police Force. He had his usual amount of super strength but was still considered one of the weaker members of the force. Batman was now Black and renamed Wayne Williams. He gets arrested, gets released and becomes a wrestler named, you guessed it, Batman. Wonder Woman is an activist named Maria Mendoza protesting against the corporate excavation of an ancient holy site near her village. She stumbles upon her superpowers almost by accident. The Flash is a young girl named Len Lewis who is a typical college student who ultimately gets injected with DNA from a humming bird from her scientist father. The list goes on, with classic DC characters such as Green Lantern, Robin, Captain Marvel, Aquaman, Catwoman and others all getting the Stan Lee face-lift.
